We failed an entire generation with social media. Are we about to do it again with AI?

There were no regulations. No oversight for social media. It's hard for parents and kids to be the only kids in class without Snapchat. A lot of kids can't read or do math anymore. Giving them powerful tools such as AI won't help their learning. Parents still don't know how to handle this. Does anyone actually?
